which camera would you recommend for when you want to take a scenic shot or people shot at night ?
I would like a camera in the mid price range which will allow me to take a photo at night with lighting in the background which will come out clear and not all fuzzy which the one I have now does.

You will find that when you take a picture at night it will use slow shutter speed to absorb as much natural light. This will cause the photo to look less clear. I suggest you use a tripod or rest it on a still object. Otherwise introduce more light.

This camera should be fine. I have taken night pictures and the quality has been very good. You have the option to use the flash or use the night mode facilities that can add extra clarity to the pictures with special effects.

Dont recommend the pic sharpness at night time mode, I had a Kodak camera before this one, which was a lot more clearer

Too open ended a question. Modern digi's have high ISO ratings, which equates to very fast old-type film, and I prefer to use this facility than use flash, which can often obscure detail. However, you need to be spending a couple of hundred pounds on this level of camer. Fuji, Canon, Samsung Lumix, all have good ones in this range.

No it doesn't. I thought that this might be an issue for me, as I have a NIKON SLR which has a viewfinder as well as the LCD display, but I find the LCD display on its own just fine.

Sorry, but Argos do not sell camera's with viewfinders and there are no longer digital cameras with view finders. They are very hard to find. But we do sell view finder add-ons for SLR cameras.

The cameras dimensions are H9.6, W6.07cm and depth of camera when switched off 2.77cm. Any case bigger that this will be suitable for this camera.
