Neither to this question, the camera runs off AAA batterys. So all you need to do, is makes sure the camera is topped up with strong batterys and when not in use for long periods, make sure they are taken out.

This camera does not have a charger and takes AA batteries. I just use normal disposable batteries. The instruction manual says rechargeables cn be used but makes no mention of a charger so I assume you have to use your own.

Its takes AA batteries, so obviously if you use rechargable ones you can charge them on thier own and use in camera.

If this query is referring to the Panasonic Lumix tz6 digital camera, it is my understanding that the battery must be removed from the camera and re-charged in the supplied charger. The battery cannot be charged through the usb lead whilst it (the battery) is in the camera.

this comes with disposable batteries but could use rechargeables but you would need to charge them outside of the camera

Hi there,

if you buy a camera that comes with AA batteries than you do not need to buy a charger or charge the batteries. You simply put the batteries in as and where indicated on the camera, and when those batteries finish you dispose of them and place new batteries in there. However, if you buy a camera that comes with Li-on batteries, then you need to charge the battery each time it finishes. You don't throw that battery away you simply charge it with the charger. Digital cameras that use Li-on batteries usually always come with battery chargers.

Hope this helped!

With this particular camera you just get ordinary batteries in the box with it. However it states on the outside of the box that you can buy extra accessories including rechargeable batteries and a BU&-90SE Quick Charger which just looks like an ordinary battery charger to me. I don't think you charge the camera itself as it does not have a lithium battery.

Yes!
You can buy them from any electrical shop that you can purchase cameras from.
But to avoid disapointment I'd get one from the shop you purchased your camera from.

Antishake is definetley a big feature to have for that!
Also the shutter speed.
Most cameras that have these features clearly would be a small fortune but Good Luck on finding one and I hope my answer is helpful for the future.

The key things to look for are: high shutter speeds, continuous shooting ability and high ISO capability. High shutter speed will ensure that the action is frozen and minimise the chance of blur. Continuous shooting allows you to take a series of shots in short bursts, letting you choose the one that best captures the action. High ISO means, in simple terms, the sensor that records the image is very sensitive to light, allowing a high shutter speed to be used.

Hi,
Some cameras or memory cards may have a recovery facility, but you will need to contact the respective manufacturers for details.
Thanks for your question

It is possible to recover deleted pictures. You should not use the memory card to record any further pictures until the recovery process has been completed. There are various pieces of software you can buy or download from the internet that will attempt to retrieve the deleted images. Be cautious, these programs are not guaranteed to bring results so don’t become reliant on them.

High megapixels capture more detail, however when you start editing and re-sizing this clarity can be degraded. A high optical zoom would allow you to close in on the subject at the point of taking the picture, removing the need to crop and re-size the picture afterwards, therefore maintaining the full megapixel resolution. The ideal scenario is to have both!

A compact style digital camera takes pictures using a fixed set of features. The lens is built into the camera and therefore this type is usually small enough to easily slip into a pocket or handbag. Great for point and shoot photography with the least amount of hassle. A digital SLR is far more flexible, offering you the option to change lenses, manually set up things like exposure and aperture settings and add more accessories such as flashguns and special effects filters. A digital SLR gives you loads of creative control and ideal for a budding enthusiast

Many digital cameras would be recognised by the iPhoto software that comes with the Mac OS (operating system). Cameras will normally come packaged with software to manage file transfer and allow some basic editing functions. It‘s always worth checking before you buy though to avoid disappointment.

Answer(s)

The Es20 is the best one I personally think!
It has loads of great features, long battery life and takes great quality photos. It's also easy to use.
But if it was for someone who never had a camera before and might find difficulty using one I'd get the Vivitar Vivicam 5024 which is great for first time buyers
I hope you find my answer helpful and hope you enjoy the camera you get!

Personally i'd go for the ES20. It's got heaps of features, 10.2mp is plenty for most people, and it has a 4x optical zoom whereas the es17 is only 3x optical zoom.

I'm looking for a replacement for an old Cannon Power Shot that allows you to change shutter speeds, aperture and other settings to allow (for instance) low light shooting.

What cameras would you recommend?
