Question
Playing back Facility
I need to take notes when doing a new walk.

When typing up a walk route, does it stop after each note I made without having to keep rewinding?
My friend has one where each note made is numbered. I know it was an Olympus but not sure which model.
Hope this makes sense
Thanks

Answer(s)
Hi Barb,

I have contacted our supplier with your question and I they have advised the following:
"Each time you record and press stop, the recorder will create a new file. So on a walk for example, you could record in chunks, pressing record and stop on a frequent basis. Therefore you notes will be in small manageable files, all numbered in order. The DP-211 also gives you the ability to search by date so if you did one walk on 25 June and recorded say 15 little recordings, they would all be grouped under that date.

It is important to note that you can not download to a PC on this unit, for that you would need one of our VN PC products which are also available at Argos"

Hello there,

The quality of the recording will be dependent on what the user is recording and how far they are from the microphone. For personal notes and interviews both of the suggested recorders will give excellent results.

Question
Is it suitable for university lectures?
I'm wondering if this item would be suitable for recording university lectures? I'm unsure how close I would be able to get to my tutor, and she certainly wouldn't be speaking directly into the microphone. I would need the recording to be clear enough that I could take separate notes.

Thank you -
Jaz
