Hi, thank you for your question.

With a juicer, the skin of the fruit or vegetable is separated from the juice, whereas a blender mixes everything together that is put into it. There is no waste with a blender, however a juice cannot be made in this way.

Hi, thank you for your question.

Having spoken to our supplier, I can confirm that the Philips HR1861/00 Professional Aluminium Juicer has the ability to juice hard vegetables.

The product manual does not have any information in regards to coriander and other fresh greens. However, our supplier advises that these will be fine to juice.

Thank you for using Q & A.

Thank you for your question.

Having looked into your query, I have been in contact with Philips UK and after speaking with one of their advisors he confirmed that the main differences between the Philips HR1861/00 Professional Aluminium Juicer and the HR1861 are that the HR1861 is a 2001 model, it is 700W (power) and has a juice jug of 1.5 litres. The HR1871 is a 2011 model with 800W and 2.5 litre juice jug

Hello scotgal
The filter is a very firm fit. I find that hooking my fingers under the rim on either side and applying equal pressure will lift it out with reasonable ease. Don't try to lift it one-handed (unless you have to for some reason of course). And don't be scared of it.
