This answer from Argos isn't very helpful.. There is another answer on here which does give the minimum height dimension though. It is certainly a lot shorter than 105.5 cm.

It says in the item description that the chimney can be shortened. It would be very unusual for a cooker hood to have a minimum height of over 105 cm.

I am not sure some of the answers from Argos are very reliable.

Hi, thanks for your question.

Yes, this is the correct measurement. If you require a shorter chimney, we do stock smaller cooker goods with the same 60cm width at catalogue number 489/5778.

the hood has everything you need even the kit to vent through an outside wall if you choose not to recirculate. the only thing you would need as an extra is a charcoal filter if you chose to fit one, however these are tricky to fit and in my opinion not vital.

Hi, thank you for your question.

Having looked into your query, it is not recommended to use the 60cm Glass Chimney Cooker Hood over a freestanding island, this chimney hood is designed to be used against a wall. Instead, I would advise to look into purchasing an island hood.
