Answer(s)
Hi, KenE.

I'm very sorry, but the Kindle Paperwhite doesn't support audio books, or have any audio capabilities. To listen to audio books you'll need to consider the Kindle Fire/Kindle Fire HD (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Searc...) I hope this helps.

Have a great day!

Question
Can you turn the backlight off?
I've heard that a lit screen strains the eyes like a computer, I wanted the Kindle Touch but they've stopped selling it.

E-ink is not the same as an LCD, it's designed to be kinder to your eyes. The gentle light makes it a more comfortable experience.

But yes you can turn the back light off, and you can adjust the light level to something you find comfortable.
