Iplayer have released a new app called BBC Media Player which when installed downloads Adobe air instead of Flash. This lets you watch iplayer from the Chrome browser until they come up with a proper iplayer app.

Yes you can - but not via Google Play store.

You need to search for the Adobe Flash player for Android APK file and download and open it on the tablet to install Flash player. Then do the same again with the iPlayer for Android APK file.

Before you install either you'll need to enable the option 'install Apps from unofficial sources' (or something like that - I can remember the exact wording). That will enable your Nexus to install the APK from the download link you find on Google.

Generally, Googling for the APK files should turn up some good tutorials you can read first. Hope that helps.

Further to Argos's answer above -- you need to be aware that that plugging the tablet into a TV that has a USB socket will not achieve anywhere near as much as would be possible if the tablet had an HDMI or other video out connector. It'll be similar to if you copied files off the tablet onto a USB memory stick and then plugged that into your TV.

There is no integrated storage expansion slot, if you wish to extend your storage you would have to purchase an OTG Cable, and get an App called Nexus Media Importer which allows you to connect the cable to the tablet as well as the storage devise.

Hope this helps.

According to the Google Play website, you can expect "Up to 8 hours of active use". This will depend on many factors such as -

- brightness of screen
- volume of audio
- use of wireless and GPS
- how many apps you have running
- what type of apps you are running

Question
No internet access
Hi
I live in an area that can't virgin/sky broadband. I don't really know much about Wifi but do I need to buy broadband? I know that you can buy a sim or USB stick that can supply you with broadband. Can I use a USB or sim for the Asus Google Nexus 7 inch tablet?

Hello, thank you for your question.

Having looked into your query, I can confirm the Asus Google Nexus 7 Inch Tablet - 16GB does not have SIM card slot. Therefore, you are unable to use a 3G SIM card to gain mobile internet access. I can also confirm a 3G USB dongle can not be used with tablet.

In regards to the Wi-Fi, I can confirm you would need some form of internet access within your home. A wireless router is then connected to the internet to provide Wi-Fi access to the tablet.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
