You sure can! USB port is on the back so tricky to get to, but not impossible.

You can use the TVs PC connection and play them via Computer. I am not sure if the USB will play direct through USB connection. I know it didn't on other models. I use a DiVX player for MP4 films etc. I hope this helps

Not sure about through the USB connector, but if you can through a HDMI connector from computer to TV, I download films from Itunes onto my laptop, connect my laptop via HDMI and am able to watch films on my TV.

The picture in the advertising has the TV phographed with half the Tv frame in black and the other in silver? is this to show that it comes in two colours? black or silver? or is it just as it is in the picture?

I have the exact same problem on one of my computer screens, I should hve taken it back and got a new one, you should really do the same, there is nothing that can be done by you to rectify this problem ..hope this has helped you ...Larry

Take it back. Mine had similar problem and Grundig told me the lcds had gone in that area. Could try fixing if return isn't an option.

I think you need to check this because I called argos and I was told that.
unless it says HD freeview digital tuner...then it is not actually an HD digital tuner???
So.It will not pickup HD freeview channels.. (only three at the moment anyway).
You will need a seperate box HD freeview box.. or eg sky HD (something that will allow you to receive HD programmes).

You are able to view items from a USB on the TV but you cannot record straight on to one. To record you will need a recorder.

Old style Grundig TV's from past experience last for so long you end up throwing them away fully working as they become to old fashioned looking life expetency 20 yr+ .
Once Germany's most important manufacturer, today under Turkish management, Grundig only builds TVs with LCD technology. The devices don't always use the most up-to-date components, but offer good sound, good build-quality, and decent operation.
How long do LCD's last? who knows but I bought Grundig form past reliability.
Excellent TV so easy to set up, sound settings need altering from default setting but excellent and a lovely picture with excellent sound.
If past engineering is as good as current engineering I expect this TV to last for many years to come.

A review in part from del from UK on 27th October 2010 for the Grundig GU37HD1080p 37 Inch Full HD 1080p LCD TV said: "if you're a SKY user the code for the sky remote is 999, even sky themselves don't know this!" (see Argos web link http://reviews.argos.co.uk/1493-en_gb/5294639/reviews.htm).
