In the box you get a paper copy of the Quick Start Guide and Warranty Certificate, the full manual is on a CD in PDF file format, so you will need a computer just to read that part only.

If you already have a DVD recorder you could plug it in to this Humax PVR using a scart lead put the DVD recorder on to AV or AUX input now connect another scart from the output of the DVD recorder to your TV so you can see what is being recorded.

Why would you do this you may ask?

The Humax PVR-9150T 160GB Digital TV Recorder has no DVD drive of it's own it uses it's own hard drive to store recorded TV shows, this is one way of making more space on the drive and still keeping your recordings if you ever wanted to look back at them again later.

Q.
Does this unit have a card slot for espn/topuptv
01 January 2010
by
ianlaw
Answer(s)
A.
It does have a standard slot but no card reader is included to read your viewing card, you would need to ask what ever pay tv service your wanting if the Humax PVR-9150T 160GB Digital TV Recorder is ideal for their service or not due to the EPG and the hard drive setup.

If on the other-hand they say yes then they will tell you how much the card reader cost to buy out right called a CAM it plugs in to the Digital TV Recorder on the right hand side under a flap once you have that then pop the viewing card in to the CAM.

It's most likely they will say to buy a ESPN or Top up TV box that's already been set-up for their service.

Hi, thanks for your question.

This recorder does not come with a HDMI cable. As it is not HD, a normal SCART cable should be used to connect it to your television.
Only HD recorders will require a HDMI cable.

Thank you for using Question & Answer.

Yes this would be ideal as it has twin tuners in the same box for Freeview, you can watch one record another or record two and watch a third, if you want to you can even watch something you recorded in the past while it still recording something new. You will find the series record handy too if you wanted to record a TV series each time it's on. You will love the idea of looking ahead 7 to 8 days to see what’s on the telly and click on it to record.
