It does record subtitles even if not showing when watching the recording when it is on at the time. The box records them and can be turned on when watching later one. Just tried it

Yes it does record subtitles if you have them switched on whilst your recording but I don't know if you can turn them on after you've recorded a program

it can be by connecting dvd player to auxilary input of recorder by means of a scart cable .DVD player can then be viewed via recorder by selecting AUX on remote control.You can then toggle between DVD and freeview tv picture by selecting AUX on remote control.I have one of these recorders so know this works

How do I record an entire series
Hi,
I have had to replace my previous recorder which was a goodmans and it had the option to record the entire series of a programme, does this item allow me to do the same, I cannot find out how to do it.

You can't rewind live TV. You can pause it and then watch it, but not rewind or save.

this product does NOT have an HDMI output .The website page for this product mistakenly suggests that you may wish to also purchase a Belkin HDMI cable for use with the recorder(see "How about" inset picture).This is technically misleading and should not be on that webpage.The recorder is connected to a TV or auxilary device via SCART CABLES only. I should know because I have recently purchased recorder

No RCA terminals, only 2 SCARTs. Two possible workarounds:
(1) Use a SCART/RCA adapter - you can get ones with a switch to enable either line input or line output - you want output.
(2) Connect the headphone base unit to the TV instead, using either SCART/RCA adapter as above, or a headphone-jack-to-twin-RCA cable (one of which probably came with the wireless headphones anyway) if the telly has a headphone socket.
