Hi Brian,

This is how to store a quickdial number on the Opticom B300

1. Lift up the handset.
2. Press the STO button (for 'Store'#
3. Key in the full number you want to store, e.g. 01234 5678910
4. Press STO again
5. Press one of the numbers on the key pad that you want to be the Quickdial number, from 1 to 0
6. Press the MEM #Memory# button.
7. Replace the handset in its cradle.
8. The Quickdial number will now be stored and you can call it by lifting the handset #or pressing the speakerphone button# and then pressing the MEM button followed by the single number you chose.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A

Having tried this - I think you need to HANG UP after Step 5. Then: lift the handset, press MEM and the Quickdial number to dial the number you just stored. NickyT

The ringer on this phone is a joke, I bought this phone mainly because it is hearing aid compatible, however this may be the case for speaking and hearing through the receiver, but unless you are sitting next to the phone you wont be able to hear it ring, and that is with the loudest setting.

Question
Does the number memory allow you to just store contact number to say digit 1
Does the number memory allow you to just store a certain contact number to say digit 1, so you just press 1 and it automatically rings it?

No, this phone os not 1 digit memory dialing. You need to press the 'MEM' key and then the relevant digit to the number you are dialling. The only way to get one touch dialling is if the phone has dedicated one-touch dialling memory keys and this phone does not have this feature. Would suggest that you look at the argos value white corded desk phone to see what I mean.
