Question
What compact digital camera is compatible with Windows XP 2002 version
I need a digital camera that I can use to download to my pc so I can use the pictures in files etc. I also have a Deskjet F2100 Printer. With the right cable can I use this to print off photos?

I am interested in the Canon PowerShot A810 16MP - but have just learnt it is only compatible with Windows 7...Help!

This equipment may not be totally up to date, but it all works fine. I'd rather not buy a new pc and printer so I can use photos digitally!

Thanks.

I'm using it with Win XP SP2 without any problem at all. It connects thru the USB port as soon as you plug in the USB cable and turn on the camera. I then just use Windows Explorer to browse the images and copy them to my hard disk. It does come with software that gives you all sorts of idiot programs to do it all automatically but I prefer the OLD way of browsing and copying folders, etc. VERY nice camera!

Hi, Novice.

The Canon PowerShot A810 16MP does actually work with Windows XP, as well as Windows 7 and Vista, so it would be compatible with your operating system if you decided to buy it. Additionally, all cameras currently sold by Argos are compatible with Windows XP.

You will also be able to print photos with your Deskjet F2100 Printer the same way you would with other documents, provided you have the USB cable that connects the printer to your computer/laptop.

I hope this helps.

I have just purchased one of these cameras, and looking at everything it looks like it is only the software that comes with the camera that isn't compatible. Both the image and movie format are suitable for windows xp and should open in the image viewer packaged with windows xp.

I am uncertain about connecting a camera to the printer however you can download the images onto your computer and print them off from there.
