Yes but dont waste your money if you have a mobile phone with a 5mp or higher specs. It will do the same or better job. maybe invest in a higher spec machine if you really need a camcorder. Think very hard what do you want it to mainly do, take pictures or video?

Question
is this camera compatible with MAC OSX10.6.8
my MAC doesn't seem to recognise the camera when I plug it in to the USB port to download photos - according to the instructions all you have to do is plug it in and you should see the device in FInder, as I do with my other cameras - doesn't seem to be working!

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have checked the specifications and I can confirm that the camcorder is compatible with MAC OSX10.6.8. I have added the instruction for connection to MAC:

Downloading Your Files Viewing Photos and Videos on PC

1. Slide the USB switch. USB interface will automatically pop-up.
2. Plug the USB into your PC as shown in the illustration.
3. Double click on the removable disk and locate the DCIM folder.
■ Movies and pictures can be found on your computer at “My Computer \ Removable Disk \ DCIM \ 100MEDIA.”

In this folder, you can view, delete, move, or copy the recorded videos and pictures you want.

If once you have checked these and it is still not working please return to store or call the customer service line and we will look into this for you.

Hi, thank you for your question.

Having looked into the instruction manual for this product I can confirm that there is no night vision as such, but you can change the scene mode to night, I could not guarantee how well this would then work in the dark as there may need to be some surround lighting of a sort to be able to record anything in the dark.
