Question
how many people will it cover?
I am in need of a gazebo due to predicted light rain on the weekend of my BBQ. There will be about 20-30 people in attendance and I need to know how many this would cover of there was rain

I would say this would cover 10 people, but as it is open sided will not protect from the rain if the wind is blowing too. We used it to provide shade at our BBQ and it did the job perfectly.

It wouldn't cover that many people. I had around 13 people under mine but was a little bit cramped. Think it would be different if it had sides.

Four to six adults can stand under it easily , I would say. Maybe eight if they really crammed in.

I would say around 15 people comfortably, any more than that could be a bit of a squeeze!

If you were to stand 20 - 30 people under it, you would be like kippers in a tin. You could comfortably fit up to 10 people under it. If the rain was coming from an angle though, some would get wet. If it is rain you want to protect against, go for one with sides, fixed or removable.

Perhaps about 10 comfortably, but it depends on whether they are sitting or standing. Perhaps 20 could be sqeezed in for a shower, but it would be a close squash.

Yes as the lowest flammable part is above head height at around 6 foot plus. Keep lid down at all times and do not leave it unattended though (don't we love H&S!). A large golf brolly will be cheaper/more versatile but only one person can get under that!

Yes it would be safe as it will be nowhere near the heat of the BBQ, would not use an any other BBQ though as it is not fire retardant. Gas should be safe as long as there is a sensible good cook who knows how to limit the flame and the hear rising.

Not too sure of exact dimensions but it comes with it's own pouch for storage and it's about the same size as a parasol storage pouch.

If the number labels are still on the legs, it is mostly a matter of starting with parts numbered 1 which go at the top, and then working your way down 2, 3, 4.

I'm sure Argos have computer copies of manuals from the supplier, maybe their merchandising department could look at putting them on the Argos website for download?

I hope that helps.

Question
Do Argos sell weights for these gazebo legs?
I would like to anchor the gazebo legs with weights, rather than using a screw-type anchor. Do Argos sell weights for the legs? if so, how much are they, and what is the reference number in the Argos website?

I used plastic milk bottles filled with play sand and water to anchor it down, must admit it works, just tie wrapped them to bottom of legs-does the trick.

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked into your query and I am sorry, we do not sell weights for the Garden Gazebo.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.

pssst... If cost is an issue for anyone out there... don't tell anybody but shower curtains now come in many different designs and colours and can be picked up for a song. But shhh it's a moneysavers secret ;-)

Or maybe Argos could look at stocking gazebo curtain sets of 2 or 4 in time for next year's week of summer?

Question
How many poles should there be?
I haven't used this gazebo for a while and have counted 35 poles along with 4 corner fixings and one for the centre peak. Is that correct or have I some poles missing?
