Hi, thank you for your question.

I can confirm that you will have to have access to 3D channels to be able to watch programs in 3D it wouldn't be able to change any standard 2D programme into being 3D.

Hello, thank you for your question regarding the Bush 42 Inch 1080p 3D LCD TV, 4 x 3D Glasses and Blu-ray

Having looked into your query, I can confirm that with Passive 3D, the glasses are not electronic, instead they use linear polarisation to give the 3 dimensional effect. In other words two images are projected onto the screen of the television and filtered by the glasses.
The benefits are that they are effective from a wider range meaning they are good for groups, they are less likely to cause headaches and of course they are much cheaper.
The downside is that as the image is projected twice with 3D and interleaved the resolution is halved.

Active 3D glasses are electronic and use a "shutter" type action to enable the 3D effect, the benefit to these is that the image is higher resolution, unfortunately the glasses are expensive, need to be recharged and don't have as good an effective field of view so using in groups may cause problems, some people find these can cause headaches also.

Thank you for your question.

After looking into your query, I can confirm that these TVs are not the same. If you look at the picture quality of these two products you can see that there is a difference in the brightness of the screens. There is also a difference in the number of HMDI inputs and USB inputs. We would recommend comparing the two products to see which one would like to purchase.

Thank you for your question.

The Bush 42 Inch 1080p 3D LCD TV, 4 x 3D Glasses and Blu-Ray will not convert 2D programmes to 3D. The channels must already be 3D for you to watch them in 3D.
