Hi,

In short no, there are many various ways you connect devices to the television.

Depending on which LG television you have may depend on which method you can connect. Some of the common connection types are :LG smartshare, LG cloud, miracast/nfc, Widi, MHL.

Please look up the abbreviations for more explanation and to see what devices have what connection.

Thank you for your question regarding the LG Wireless Wi-Fi USB Dongle.

I am sorry but Wi-Fi range is based on the capabilities of the router and not the dongle being used.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed reply. Also, I am sorry to say that the LG Wireless Wi-Fi USB Dongle is designed to give your SMART TV wireless internet access, not to connect wireless devices to another device, so it won't be compatible with wireless speakers.

Hope this helps, thanks for using Argos Q&A

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked into this for you and can confirm the LG Wireless WiFi USB Dongle will enable you to connect to your laptop. The laptop and dongle will need to be in range of your home network internet or be connected to a free WiFi connection service.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.

Hi,

I am sorry to say that the LG Wireless Wi-Fi USB Dongle is probably only designed to work with LG products and that the sony blu ray player will probably only be compatible with a Sony USB adapter, if it is wireless ready.

Hope this helps, thanks for using Argos Q&A
