I can advise that this product is compatible with portable MP3 players through a 3.5mm Aux cable. The stereo itself does not playback MP3 files on CD for example.

Bought one and took back to shop as although great sound for CDs etc it would not play the MP3 CDs that I have. Although the Argos catalogue and website both state that you can do this, the manual in the box states that the device does not have MP3 CD playback, which I found to be indeed the case on trying it out.

Yes you can play an Mp3 player. I don't know what the lead is called but it's just got male fittings on either end. Widely available. It works well, and the sound is superb.

Having looked into your query, I can confirm that you can preset up to 20 fm and 10 am stations. The presets are stored in the unit sequentially, so you have to press the preset button a number of times to find the required station.
