No it is not compatible with sky broadband as sky have there connection locked so if you want a better router you have to buy it through sky

Having looked into your query, I can confirm that although the Netgear Wireless N300 Modem Router could be used to replace your Sky router, it is not recommended in any way as this will invalidate your warranty with Sky.

Having looked into this for you I can confirm that this router will be compatible with all major DSL Internet service providers (ISPs). Just to make you aware this will not need to be compatible with a software on your computer, as this will connect to your phone line allowing you to receive a wireless internet signal, which your computer will pick up if it has built in wireless.
