Question
How do you rip files onto this product?
Hi. I was just wondering with this Bush 4GB mp3 USB music stick, could I use my external disk drive to import cd tracks onto it?
My Cd’s work fine, so when I choose to ‘rip’ it, I would do so from my windows 7 media library and from there I guess I would need to change the rip setting format to MP3 to sync it to this portable device?

Hi Viva La vida,

To rip from a CD using Windows media player the file format can be either ”MP3” or “WMA” - both formats are supported by this player. When connected to the PC the player will appear as an external drive called "CMP332_4G”, so files can be created directly on the player or created on your hard drive and copied across to the player using copy/paste or drag and drop.

I hope this helps!

Question
Random Feature
Random feature isn't as random as you think. Have random mode selected and let it play. Switch off the mp3 player and then start playing (while random mode on) and it plays the same songs in the same random order as before. Is this a fault or does random just play a set order that is the same so really it's not random.

Hi there,

I have since looked into this and can confirm the following...

The Player uses a pseudo random number generator, this is generated from a list. The player is best switched off using the play button (hold in for 2 seconds) rather than the power switch, this will retain the randomness of the track playback.

If the player is switched off, the same “random” tracks will be repeated on next play, although if tracks are added via PC, the track numbers will no longer follow this same pattern.

I hope this helps and thanks for using Argos Q&A.

This is as random as it gets, the internal computer needs to keep it in some order to prevent playing the same song repeatedly. Random is often called shuffle on others which better explains the feature, it shuffles the songs into a random order and then plays them in that order

Question
How do you use the folders on this MP3 player
I have made folders on my PC and I know how to access them on the MP3 player using local folder but I can only play one song at a time before it goes back to the beginning of all the songs I have on the MP3 player. For example, I want to be able to separate my revision podcasts playlist from my jogging playlist. How can I do this?

Hi Osrom2000,

During charging you will see the battery animation in the top right corner of the display. When the charge is at maximum the battery no longer animates and appears black.

I hope this helps!
