The 5510 eAIO, as all new Photosmart printers come with Set up cartridges, they are specially formulated and need to be used through the initial set up process. the cartridges are FULL STANDARD cartridges, however some ink is used printing alignment pages when the printer is first used.
In short yes it comes with a set of standard cartridges

The HP 5510 eAIO printer is compatable with your Ipad in 3 ways. As are all eAIO HP printers
1. Air Print, built in to the IPad software, so long as you are on the same wireless network as the printer you are able to print, photo's, documents, web pages and more.
2. ePrint allows you to send an email to the printer and the printer (so long as it is on and attatched to a internet connected wireless network) will print out the email and attatchments.
3.using app download from the app store, which will allow you to print photos

Question
Are the Ink cartridges separate?
Hi
I would like to know if the ink cartridges are separate, so when one colour runs out I don't have to change the entire lot which saves waste and expense?

I found this printer really easy to install and use. I print from computer and phone and am not technology minded !! The touchscreen on the front is so easy to use too.
I would recommend this printer without hesitation.
